Visit of Tarlac Fact Finding Mission at Bamban WWII Museum

The Mission Team composed of representatives and forensic experts from Japan Ministry of Labor, Health and Welfare, National Museum and Department of Interior and Local Government , successfully made a visit at our Bamban WWII Museum this morning, with the attendance of Hon. Governor Susan Yap.

The event started with the Museum tour given to our special guests, where entirely new exhibits of more than 300 artifacts from the Battle of Bamban Hills 1945 are in permanent displays.

In the highlight of the visit, the Tarlac Fact Finding Mission, with Dr. Eri Ohtani, MHLW Physical Anthropologist, along with Dr. Ame Garong of the National Museum, were able to conduct forensic anthropological study of the remains in custody at the Bamban WWII Museum.

Hon. Governor Susan Yap is fully supportive of this effort and mission and had extended assistance during the mission activities.

We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all participants in the event, particularly Hon. Governor Susan, the PGT – Tourism Office and the Philippine National Police.
